Louis Cartier created the Tank watch in 1917. A legend was born. The first prototype was presented to General Pershing as a gift a few years before the watch was introduced in 1919. The lugs blend seamlessly into the bare edges of the flat vertical brancards, giving the watch its unique aesthetic.
The Tank Américaine watch (Ref. W26015K2) was first launched in 1994 in 18K yellow gold (750/1000) case with a crown decorated with a faceted sapphire.
